This portion of The Colorado Hiker highlights just a few intriguing gems outside of Colorado.  There are numerous locations worth exploring throughout the greater Rocky Mountain West, Four Corners area, and Colorado Plateau.  The four states that join at a single point, known as Four Corners, are Colorado, New MexicoArizona, and Utah.  For more information on the Four Corners Monument, visit Wikipedia.  Additionally, Wyoming has some of the most spectacular wilderness in the lower forty-eight states.  The Wind River Range is among the royalty!

If you don’t want to join the cold, then beat it with a trip to Hawaii where you can explore the amazing Kalalau Trail – it’s truly paradise!
