Gear Reviews

Hoka One One Bondi 4 – The BONDI 4 is the most cushioned shoe in the HOKA ONE ONE line. It delivers a smooth, cushioned ride that is revered for its balance and simplicity with a full-EVA midsole and early stage Meta-Rocker for a guided ride. An updated ComfortFrame upper with a new padded tongue gives superior, all around comfort. With signature HOKA ONE ONE cushioning to keep you happy mile after mile, the Bondi 4 is primarily designed for running on hard, man-made surfaces, and has just enough traction to play on light trails.

PROS:

A very comfortable running shoe with maximum cushion. The rocker heel and toe design promotes proper foot plant and push. The upper is light, airy and has not caused any discomfort or rubbing in the toe box (others have stated problems) or heel. Considering the thickness of the sole, the shoe is surprisingly light. This is an ideal shoe for hard surface trail running.

CONS:

If you go a half size up, then you may be happier with these shoes. If you love a big toe box, then you may just plain be out of luck. These shoes are pretty narrow in the front. The first pair of these wore out after about 500 miles, not long lasting enough for the price. Otherwise, this shoe is an overall winner for training or maybe racing shorter distances.

BOTTOM LINE:

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ~ This is the perfect shoe for me at this time.
